There are those of you out there who are addicted to the challenging, and exciting, recently revived pastime, of the game of scrabble. And now, here you are trying to find a good scrabble cheat to make your life a lot less stressful when you find a way to beat that opponent that is always just one step ahead of you. An important thing to remember when you are playing against a clever opponent, is to monitor the way they play their game, and their strategy style that helps them get more points.

Just remember that you too will get better the more you play, and in time you will also pose a real threat to other opponents that dare to challenge you. I have listed a few scrabble hints for those of you who think you need a scrabble cheat to get more points, but really it is just another way to improve your game.

Improve Your Scrabble Game

Remember that  points are more important than words when you’re playing scrabble, for example, if you have letters for “verse”, but using them to make the word “serve” gives you more points because of where they land on the board, then do that. Believe it or not, this is a very important learning curve, and you need to train yourself to be aware of  it.
Keep in mind that the smallest words can be just as lethal on the board as a big one. Very often the first and last letter of a small word will be tiles of a bigger value, like box, or cab, so always be on the lookout for that advantage.

Scrabble Cheat Isn’t the Same as Cheating

Making multiple words is another great way to earn big points, and often can be done by using only one letter, which can be very advantageous at the end of a game when you only have a couple of tiles left. This requires a keen practiced eye and also comes with experience. Using an ‘S’ or a ‘D’ to connect two words, or making smaller two letter words such as ‘HE’ and ‘IT’ while making the word ‘HINGE’ against a word that ends with ‘ET’ such as ‘SOCKET’ will get you more points than the word ‘HINGE’ alone.

This was just an example, and you can do that with a lot of words. Adding ‘Z’ against ‘ONE’ to make another word such as ‘ZOOM’ gives you 20 points with the ‘Z’ alone, and more if it is placed on a double or triple letter score.

When you place letters on a double or triple word score, their value is greatly increased, and in turn so does their overall score. As I have already pointed out, placing a high earning tile on a double or triple letter square will help you score better, but you probably think that you can only make a few words with these letters, well think again.

These are just some of bigger, better words that you can make with high score letters. A good idea is to keep a notebook handy and write them all down. This is not really a scrabble cheat but just an excellent way for you to start strategizing, and there are many more that you can come up with. The game of scrabble has been around for many years with generations of families having played the game. The new craze sweeping the world is online scrabble, but not as we know it, and it comes complete with it’s own scrabble cheat system.

No more families around the kitchen table, the computer is now the new dining room table and families are playing each other from their bedrooms, lounge rooms, patios, and mobile phones. Google scrabble games on line and you will get a list to choose from, some are world wide and some are between a few different countries, so have a good look and see which ones suit you best.

There are no rules to say that you cannot belong to more than one club, in fact I encourage you to do just that, just remember that some of these sites are free, and there are others that you have to pay to join, the choice of course is yours, but my advice is to go on a free site first until you become familiar with the new way of playing scrabble and then change if you want to.

 Just a little something that I need to warn you about though, this way of enjoying yourself is very very addictive and can lead to you having a lot of fun and meeting a lot of new people, so make sure that you think about all this before you go to your first site or you may just have a good time. When I think of a scrabble cheat, I think of one of the very first scrabble sites on line which is called Networdz. This site was started by a woman by the name of Tina Andrews, and her dream was to create a scrabble site where people from all over the world would gather to socialize and enjoy the competitiveness of a good and challenging game of scrabble, never, in her wildest imagination would she have thought there would ever be such a thing as a scrabble cheat.

Tina passed away a few years ago but her site still ranks as one of the best out there. There is also a slightly more advanced site than Networkz out there called ISC. This site is a little different in that all scrabble games there have to be in the dictionary.

Some Cool Scrabble Cheat Sites

Online scrabble has its own little shortcuts that mean something to those who play regularly and TWL or Owl are among them. These letters stand for Official Word List or similar and they are updated every 3-5 years. There are times when an on line scrabble site owner puts in a word that might be considered a legal word from the updated dictionary, but has been played on an older site this word may sometimes be rejected as invalid. This is where your scrabble cheat comes into play.

A good learning site is one called Zyzzyya. This is not a site where you can play another person one on one, but is more of a learning site to help you understand different ways you can play the game to achieve a more pleasing result. At this site you will learn how to make new words from existing groups of letters, and ways to check words to see if they are legal. Michael Thelan, the site creator, set this site up as an individual study program and it has been very successful.

Recently there has been a new addition to the online scrabble world and that is the fabulous “Scrabbulous”. With this site you can choose from over twenty lobbies and play
in a number of ways. Firstly you can play with another player, or, you can play with a robot, you can even play solo to hone up your skills.

This is a great site, and now that the few little kinks with Hasbro have been ironed out in regards to the confusion over the copyright, it has become a huge hit.
